VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts in several California warehouses have added chicken strips, a $6.99 order of five pieces served with dipping sauce, according to employees and menu signs at the stores.

Workers at stores in Alhambra, Los Feliz and Bakersfield’s Rosedale Highway said the item appeared July 11. A Santa Rosa employee said it arrived July 6, and a Concord worker said it had been available for a few days by July 15.

At the California locations checked, the new item appeared to replace the chain’s calzone on the menu boards. The signs also listed the order at 1,130 to 1,640 calories.

In Victorville, the warehouse at 14555 Valley Center Drive also added crispy chicken strips to its food court menu, according to the store’s menu.
